Walking Out Their Faith

Happy Monday morning. Time to get up and start the new week. I have spent the past week on the issues surrounding abortion. Today I would like to finish up by sharing with you some great news and valuable resources for those who continue to suffer in silence.

There is a group of 39 young women who have all been impacted by the devastating affects of abortion. They are going to start a walk on the steps of the largest abortion clinic in the United States, Houston Texas. From there they will spend the next 21 days walking to the courthouse where Roe v. Wade started in Dallas. Along the way each of the young women will share their testimony by live web cam on their website. The walk starts on March 17th and will end on Good Friday April 6th.

Dr. Alveda King is the niece of the late Dr. Martin Luther King. This is what she said recently, "So many women from so many walks fo life are coming together to cry our to the heart of God and speak out to a nation. It will bring young and old together in healing and restoration, uniting all women and every ethnic group to fight abortion."

All of this reminds me of one of my favorite passages in scripture.

God of All Comfort

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. 5 For as we share abundantly in Christ’s sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too.

2 Cor 1:3-5 (ESV)

God is the God of comfort. We are challenged to live out our faith by taking the comfort God has given us and turning around and offering the same comfort to those we come in contact with. Never, ever be afraid my precious sister in Christ. God will wipe away every tear and make all things new.
I hope this series has opened your eyes to the plight of so many women and babies. May God give us a heart of compassion and the courage to stand up and be a voice for those too tiny to speak for themselves.

In Christ Alone,

Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning Satan says, "Oh crud, she's up".

  1. Thank you for sharing Miss Jill. I've seen more and more articles and pictures on abortion that just break my heart. It pushes me to get more involved! Blessings, Gail
