Blessed be the Name of God

Blessed be the Name of God

Good morning to you. Last time we met Daniel he was praying with his three buddies. They were seeking God's face to prevent the destruction of all the wise men in Babylon including them.

God was so faithful to these young men. Daniel receives a vision concerning both the dream and the interpretation. What is the first thing Daniel does? He stops and gives praise to the ONE who is going to rescue the wise men of Babylon and he and his three friends. Here is what he says;

Blessed be the name of God forever and ever,
to whom belong wisdom and might. 21 He changes times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding; 22 he reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with him. 23 To you, O God of my fathers, I give thanks and praise, for you have given me wisdom and might,

Dan 2:20-23 (ESV)

Let's just rest on this passage for today. In our Beth Moore study we are memorizing these verses. Would you care to join me in memorizing the first verse? Here is the first verse again.

Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, to whom belong wisdom and might.

Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning Satan says, "Oh crud, she's up".
