Master Carpenter

Good morning everyone. Psalms 127:1 says this;

“Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.”

Have you ever watched a house being built? It is a fascinating thing to see. Of course the foundation is not only the very first task you need to accomplish but it is also the most important. You see, if you have a solid foundation the building will stand the storms that will come.

All of us has watched on T.V. homes that were built on the side of a cliff or built right next to the ocean. When the hurricane roars in they just crumble because the house was not built on the proper foundation. Of course the homes looked gorgeous from the outside. Majestic mansions that in a storm can be washed away. We lived in a state once that had dirt that seriously shifted. Someone really “bright” decided to build houses on that dirt and I bet you can guess what happened!

Building, certainly not for the faint of heart. It takes a ton of back breaking work with tons of sweat and probably tears! We are told though in God’s word that unless the LORD of the universe lays the very foundation it will not stand the test of time. God is our foundation. He is the only foundation that will stand the test of time.

Being the practical gal that I am I want specifics. All this sounds great but how in the world do we accomplish this? How do we let God build the house? So for the next few days we are going to look at some “nuts and bolts” of house building that hopefully will answer that question. Get your “hammers out” and get ready to pound some nails J

Till tomorrow. God’s richest blessings to you!

In Christ Alone,

"Let us lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us"
