The Last Supper

As the evening wore on the sorrow became so heavy it was hard to bear. So many questions left unanswered. Jesus knew, he knew the time had come, the hour he had dreaded was here. So much to say in so little time. All was not lost, don’t give up my beloved followers, just hold on and soon you will understand. But first there was one last object lesson that had to be given. He stood, wrapped a towel around his waist and got on his knees. The Master of the Universe, the Son of God, the Savior of the world gets on his knees. Stop here and think……

Tenderly he washes the feet of those he loves the most. God came down and washed the feet of his chosen ones. Never in history had such a thing been done. The lowest act for the lowest servant in the house is to wash the feet of those who enter. The problem was none of the twelve had felt they were the lowliest so no one’s feet got washed before supper. One by one the sandals came off and one by one every ankle and every toe was washed by the Master.

Amazing love, how can it be? For today, let’s just rest right there…

Till tomorrow

In Christ Alone,

"Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning Satan says, "Oh crud, she's up"
